They say Asians are the best cooks when it comes to preparing fish meal cooked in a clay pot. I saw this recipe in one of the Asian websites and realized that when it comes to fish in clay pots, the Asian cooks make it not just better, but best!
Fish and Pork in a Clay Pot
- Freshwater fish fillets, cut into bite sizes
- Chicken broth
- Pork lion, sliced
- Garlic, finely chopped
- Chili peppers, finely chopped
- Onion, sliced
- Tomato, sliced

Heat the oil in a saucepan. Fry the fish fillets until lightly brown, then transfer to a clay pot. Brown the pork in another pan, then add to the fish along with garlic, chicken broth, sugar and chili peppers. Stir to combine. Cover and cook over medium heat until pork and fish are cooked. Add Nuoc Cham sauce and let boil.
In a separate pan, saute’ the onions until lightly tender and crisp. Garnish over pork with fish, along with red tomatoes.
